And it feels like heaven

If I had tons of money, and I could bring/wear anything on my Southern European adventure, I love these outfits from Poppy. I'm looking at you high-waisted shorts and teal sandals. Happy Friday :)

I just haunt all that I've wanted and leave what I don't

This week has been slightly hectic, but there has been some exciting news:

1. I saw Matt & Kim and Lupe Fiasco last weekend... I love Kim.  She is so cool.  Like fo realz.

2. Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is uber pretty.

3. It snowed today.

4. I get to see my mother tomorrow :)  We are going to shop and have high tea.

5.  And... I got a part time internship at a publishing company!  Woah.  Sometimes I pass out when I think about it.  Not really...  haha thank you mon amie!  Maybe this means I'm closer to one day working in publishing in NYC...?  Well if I did, this is what I would wear: from here and here.

Those are killer shoes.  Post title from Half Moon by Blind Pilot (I get to see them Sunday!!)

Thinking about tomorrow won't change how I feel today

Yesterday my friend and I checked out the new Topshop... one word: overpriced.  I thought the experience would be fun and uber artsy, but instead we just got overwhelmed and sad.  There was a 14 year old trying high heels on, when we couldn't even afford the rings!  So we went to Forever 21 and had much better luck there.

Inspiration for this week:

Why is she so cool.  The carelessly tucked in shirt, the messy hair... I just can't handle this.

My messy buns seldom have this much success.

It was warm today, I could've worn this.  Too bad, it will be cold from now on :(

This girl is uber stylin.  Btw I have those loafers, and I love them.  So much.

I love big sweaters.  This one and the one in the picture before would be perfect for rainy days.

I love this quote.  So well expressed!

A day in the sun

Ah the weekend.  And it is lovely weather.  To clarify, I am wearing flip flops, which I can wear at school for about three weeks out of the school year.  According to weather.com I have a week of no cardigans, jackets, and boots!  Check out these cute outfits slash inspirations that I am obsessed with right now :)

White shirts. (here and here)

Jeans and heels. (here and here)

Details (statement heels, rings, lovely nail polish).

Coffee and cupcakes

I should never be given a day off from work.  I end up spending more money than I earn.  I went out with the goal of buying converse, essential walking shoes for college.  Did I get them?  No. I decided that with that money, I could instead get really cute sandals and high heeled boots for winter.  Neither are practical, but both are just so darn cute :)

Now I would like to take this time to rave about this amazing cupcake place down the street.  This morning I had the best cupcake ever.  Boston Cream from Molly's Cupcakes.  I am not one for cupcakes normally, Sprinkles never did it for me.  But this place will change your stereotypes for cupcakes, I almost have to eat the cake part and the icing separate because the conflicting goodness in my mouth is just too much to handle at once.

Dark jeans and painted toes

Today I spent the day shopping on Michigan Ave, surprise surprise :)  To my delight, I found the perfect jeans.  I normally get cheap jeans which never fit me and get holes in a month, so I was looking for good quality jeans.  I went to Levi's, from the advice of my bestie who came last weekend, and they measured me and everything.  Let me tell you these jeans are so comfortable!  It is a struggle for me to fit jeans well because I gots some curves, so this buy was uber exciting.  Anywho to get you started for the weekend, here are some really cute shoes that I'm obsessing over from Refinery 29.  Go forth and be fashionable!

We're gonna have a good day

I've got some super exciting news.  So take a look at these Seychelles shoes.  Cute, right?  Well what if I told you I found them ON SALE at Urban Outfitters today.  I'm talkin over half off man.  yep.  My friend always says I have a ton of impractical shoes, but I would argue that these are actually extremely practical... I mean look how many cute outfits one of my favorite bloggers put together with these shoes!  And they are comfortable... well sort of hehe

Birds flying high, you know how I feel

So I realize that nothing has been posted for quite some time... oops!  The weather's in the 50s, I almost wore a dress (but then changed because of the wind... awkward), and its finally thursday!!! Good times ahead :)  I haven't looked at blogs lately so my inspiration is almost non existent, but one thing I will leave you with is how much I really want over the knee boots next winter.  so cute.  so sexy.

Baby its cold outside

Some outfits to get ready for winter!! From Sartorialist, Le Blog de Betty, and J Crew.  I am absolutely loving autumn in Chicago.  I wore uniforms all through high school, so one of my goals in coming to college was to never wear a t shirt to class.  I've kept it...for the most part :)  But really, I have been pleasantly surprised at fashion at college, with Urban so close its not too hard to dress wannabe hipster/artsy. haha. No but really, I love their sales. The sale section is a great stress reliever.

Have a wonderful Monday!
