I gave her my heart, but she wanted my soul
It's hard to feel really settled in my room, since I'm just leaving in a month, but I've put a few pictures up on the wall. Last night my friend described my look as minimalist (definitely what I was going for). Anyone who saw my dorm room last year knows it was anything but minimalist (pictures all over the wall, falling on top of me when I slept). But for now, I can live with it.
I know I keep posting pictures of people's homes, I'm obsessed. I love this one, with the simple colors and potted plants. Oh and the clean dishes of course.

I'll make coffee and you'll read the paper
The moving process is slowly coming along. Very slowly. Unfortunately my current apartment looks nothing like the one below. But I can dream. This beautiful home belongs to Julie Pointer who works for Kinfolk Magazine.

You used to play outside when you were young, full of life and full of love
I am loving this Spring 2012 lookbook by Current/Elliott. I want everything, including that house. Post title from Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men. Happy Friday :)
I saw sinners making music, I've dreamt of that sound
My happiness is really tied to the weather... I don't think you can quite understand a beautiful day, until you have spent a winter in Chicago or a summer in Dallas. Having experienced both these extremes this year, I can fully take in today. Can it be 56 and sunny more often?
Check out this beautiful home in Southwest France. In the words of Liz Lemon... I want to go to there. My dream is that once my sister and I make enough money down the road (haha), we and my parents can buy a home in the middle of nowhere, preferably the Northeast (even though France sounds lovely too...), where we can escape separately or together. I imagine it would look something like this home.

You suddenly complete me
I love these pictures of home life from these two photographers: Idha Lindhag and Christine Rudolph. My favorite is this last one, wouldn't it be great to wake up in that bed? I'd just sit there for hours reading with a cup of coffee. I like to think there would be no bugs :)

I've been searching for a simple place, don't know if it exists
Isn't this house lovely? I would love to have a house in the middle of nowhere I could escape to from time to time. Somewhere in New England preferably. (title from Night Train by Amos Lee)
