I got nothing left inside of my chest, but it's all alright.
Having spent 9 years in the Northeast, 9 years in the South, and 1.5 years in the Midwest, I cannot quite understand being connected to one region with pride. I do not even identify with one race, let alone one place. There are so many people and places in the US, let alone in the world, that it seems so limiting to stay or live in one place. To explain... I am awaiting word from my study abroad application status, so I cannot get this out of my mind. But really I think about it all the time. Post title from All Alright by Fun.
